Freshers Fair 2026…

Whether you're looking to join a sports club, get involved with societies, learn about student media and campaigns, or discover the services available through the Students' Union - this is the place to start! You'll also have the chance to connect with local industries and pick up some useful freebies along the way. It's a great opportunity to find out what's available and how to make the most of your time at Sussex and the wonderful city of Brighton.

We want to make sure you have an enjoyable Freshers' Fair experience, so please get a free ticket to attend this event. This helps us to stagger entry numbers and manage capacity to keep queues as short as possible, improve access, and give you time and space to chat to stall holders and sign up for all the different activities you wish to!

Accessible hour: 11am - 12pm - aimed students with access needs attending guided tours and other disabled students who may benefit, please avoid getting a ticket for this time if you do not have access needs as this helps make a more accessible Freshers Fair experience for others

General admission: 12pm - 4pm (last admission 3:30pm)

📍Falmer House Mandela Hall, Sports Centre Halls 1+2, and Falmer House Quad

🆔 Student ONLY event. May be asked to provide student ID on the door.

• Debating Chamber: 11am - 4pm
• Physiotherapy Room in Sports Centre: 11am - 4pm

🚾 Accessible toilets located near Mandela Hall (in Falmer House on the ground and first floors). Gender neutral toilet available on the ground floor of Falmer House

🌻 If you need to surpass a queue, please speak to a member of staff or wear a sunflower (hidden disabilities) lanyard and someone will help you

💟 Exits and wellbeing spaces available and signposted

🅿️ Disabled parking bays located in the Sports Centre car park (blue badge required)

💡 Contains some bright lighting 

🔊 Noisy event (with reduced noise during the accessible hour)

🛋️ Rest space nearby - in addition to the above wellbeing zones, the Disabled Students Room (DSR) is located on the first floor of Falmer House, past the Common Room, and is open to all students who identify as disabled (code for entry is on the door)
